I’ve enjoyed writing as far back as I can remember. When we’d get a writing assignment in school, while a lot of the other kids would be complaining, I’d be planning how to tackle that assignment. And while I was an okay writer and excelled in English on all the standardized tests, my 8th grade Advanced English teacher changed my writing forever.
She taught me how to put my thoughts into words.
And mostly because of her and some other incredible English teachers I had throughout my educational experience, I am now truly blessed to have my dream job, which both challenges me and fills me with gratitude every single day.
- I’m a freelance writer, and I’ve created content for blog posts, articles, coaching lessons, podcasts, YouTube videos, media segments, and some social media content as well. While my specialties are in personal development, health, fitness, nutrition, and behavior change, I enjoy the opportunity and challenge of researching and writing about other topics, including the following:
- Business management education
- Real estate management
- Plumbing and lighting products
- Landscaping
- Furniture and custom furniture
- Interior design
- Financial education
- Printing and marketing
- Concrete grinding equipment
- Swimming pool education, maintenance, and design
- Pest control
- Beauty products
- Dental assisting education
- I’m a freelance editor, and I’ve worked on content ranging from emails to landing pages, short articles, blog posts, books, eBooks, and entire websites. A “fresh” set of eyes is a crucial part of the content development process to ensure that content is clear, concise, error-free, and understandable. I love to be that “fresh” set of eyes and meticulously analyze content to make sure those first impressions—of both my clients and their potential customers—are as powerful as possible.
- As a ghostwriter, my work has been featured in The Huffington Post, AZ Parenting, and on many other websites like those listed above.
- I’m also a speaker, and I’m passionate about teaching through the spoken word.
As for professional certifications and degrees, I’m an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Behavior Change Specialist, GGS (Girls Gone Strong) Certified Women’s Coaching Specialist, Precision Nutrition L1 Nutrition Coach, and I have a bachelor’s degree in University Studies (minor in English, minor in Accounting, cluster in Exercise Science) from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Fun fact: I walked in graduation at BYUI with our oldest son, daughter-in-law, and oldest daughter. That’s a memory for a lifetime!
Personally, my life is amazingly blessed by the best husband ever, six awesome kids (four I birthed, two I got the easy way—they married two of my kids), six very cute grandsons, and my relationship with God. Life is awesome!
